Keto Angry Pizza Margherita with Prosciutto
This is one of the easiest pizzas you will ever make...so what makes this an angry pizza? Well instead of your traditional pizza sauce, we will be going with Rao's Arrabbiata sauce which gets it's heat from crushed red peppers. The hint of garlic in it makes this a great choice as a pizza sauce. Arrabbiata literally translates to Angry in Italian...hence the name. To keep this pizza Keto healthy, we'll use one of the SlimThin Foods Pizza Dough which will make roughly a 12" pizza. Add some fresh mozzarella pearls, campari tomatoes and basil, and you are in for a treat. The prosciutto is optional...but adding a little fat to a Keto pizza is nothing but delicious!
Ingredients
- ThinSlim Pizza Dough - 1
- Raos Arrabbiata Sauce - 1/4 cup
- Mozzarella pearls - 10-11
- Campari Tomatoes - 2 sliced
- Basil - 2-3 large leaves
- Prosciutto - 3-4 slices
Instructions
Spread the SlimThin Foods Pizza Dough on a pizza pan. Add the Arrabbiata sauce and spread evenly around the dough. Spread the mozzarella pearls and sliced campari tomatoes around the pizza. Chop the basil leaves and sprinkle over the rest of the toppings (save some for garnish at the end)
Preheat oven to 350 and cook to your desired crispiness (15-18 minutes). Once cooked, tear the prosciutto slices and spread them around the pizza. The reason why we are adding prosciutto last is because when cooked, the fat in the prosciutto will melt into the sauce and water down the pizza sauce. You can add it 2-3 minutes before the pizza is done cooking if you want to heat it up a bit. Garnish with the remainder of the basil leaves. Slice and enjoy!
One of the biggest challenges you'll have with this pizza is resisting eating it right out of the oven and burning your mouth. 🙂 In my opinion, this is one of the best tasting Keto dough out there.
