Keto Friendly Cheddar Cheese Biscuits
Craving biscuits while doing Keto? This low carb biscuit mix will do the trick! The low carb mix is called Carbquik, and can be purchased on Amazon. The package provides directions on how to make the cheddar cheese biscuits, so that's what we went with below. These are some of the best tasting low carb biscuits you'll get your hands on. Feel free to mix it up a bit.
Ingredients
- Carbquik mix - 2 cups
- Butter - 1/2 stick
- Cheddar cheese - 1/2 cup shredded
- Garlic powder - 1 pinch
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Heavy cream - 1/4 cup
- Water - 1/4 cup
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Cut the cold butter into the Carbquik mix with a pastry cutter or a fork (essentially crumble together) in a mixing bowl. The mixture should resemble coarse meal. Add the shredded cheese, salt and garlic and blend well with a spatula.
Add in the heavy cream with water to the mixture. Mix all together until the dough forms ( Use your hands...best tools for the job!).
Make 1 oz balls and smash each one down lightly with your hands and place them on a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
Bake for 10 minutes.
